Kampung Genteng Candirejo in Surabaya houses a Herbal Processing Center that has been operating since 2008, yet limited knowledge, technical support, and financial constraints hinder its MSME members from obtaining halal certification. This community service program aims to enhance MSME competitiveness by providing halal certification assistance, including training, technical guidance, and marketing strategies. The methodology involves education, certification registration assistance, and program monitoring and evaluation. The results indicate an increased understanding of halal certification standards among MSMEs and a rise in the number of MSMEs applying for certification. This initiative positively impacts MSME business sustainability and supports Indonesia’s vision of becoming a global halal industry hub.
Fani Fani Khoirotunnisa, Amalya Diva Andriyani, Dini Talita Sari Copyright (c) 2025 Fani Fani Khoirotunnisa, Amalya Diva Andriyani, Dini Talita Sari https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2009 Tue, 14 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Towards Sustainable Development: Formulating SDGs-Based Village RPJM in Bandung Village, Pandeglang https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2035
The purpose of this community service activity (PKM) is to assist in preparing the Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJM Desa) based on the SDGs of Bandung Village, Pandeglang. To achieve optimal results, this PKM activity is carried out in three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning stage uses the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) approach with partners, to identify targets, objectives, expected outputs, and activity implementation schedules by calculating the use of appropriate resources, preparing implementation schedules, and designing other actions needed to achieve goals, including the division of tasks between the community service and partners. In the planning, the PKM implementation method is determined using a mentoring approach to the Bandung Village government. Mentoring is carried out by inviting several parties, from village officials to community leaders to prepare a Village Development roadmap based on the Village SDGs first. Evaluation is the last activity of this PKM. In the evaluation, it was found that the village government did not have complete data to be used in preparing the Village RPJM or the Village Development roadmap based on the SDGs. So the team had difficulty compiling the RPJM files and Village Development Roadmap. One solution is the need to input the lack of SDGs data in the Village SDGs application owned by the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration. However, until the end of this community service activity, the Village Government had not finished inputting the data in question, because of other activities such as preparing the Bandung village tourist location which will be opened at the end of 2023.
Taufik Raharjo, Yuniato Hadiwibowo, Tanda Setiya, Nur Aisyah Kustiani Copyright (c) 2025 Taufik Raharjo, Yuniato Hadiwibowo, Tanda Setiya, Nur Aisyah Kustiani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2035 Tue, 14 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Digital Learning Transformation Training to Improve Teachers' Pedagogical Skills at SDN Tlogowaru 01 Malang https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2150
Teachers' ability in pedagogical competence must be improved. A big challenge for educators, especially elementary school teachers, is to be able to provide interesting and easily understood material for students. Through these challenges, every educator is required to be more creative in delivering material and attracting the attention of students. Observing the conditions that occur at SDN Tlogowaru 1, this activity aims to provide Digital Learning Transformation Training to Improve Teachers' Pedagogical Skills at SDN Tlogowaru 01 Malang.
Eli Jamilah Mihardja, Hasan Ali Murtadha, Mohammad Ihsan, Deffi Ayu Puspito Sari, Insan H Harahap, Jurica Lucyanda, Ahmad Yani Copyright (c) 2025 Eli Jamilah Mihardja, Hasan Ali Murtadha, Mohammad Ihsan, Deffi Ayu Puspito Sari, Insan H Harahap, Jurica Lucyanda, Ahmad Yani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2024 Wed, 16 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Introducing and Utilizing E-Reading Tools for Junior High School Students through the Read Along by Google Application https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2064
The development of digital technology presents significant opportunities to enhance students' literacy, particularly in learning English. However, the integration of technology in school environments remains limited, and many students have not yet utilized digital tools as productive learning media. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to increase junior high school students’ interest and reading comprehension in English by introducing the Read Along by Google application. The program was conducted at MTs As-Syifa, West Bandung Regency, involving 50 students as participants. The method employed was the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through interactive seminars, application simulations, and reflective discussions. The results showed high enthusiasm among students in using the Read Along application, with positive responses toward its interactive features. Besides boosting reading motivation, the activity also encouraged students to integrate technology into their daily learning habits. Therefore, the asset-based and technology-oriented approach proved effective in strengthening digital literacy and supporting English learning at the junior high school level.
Eva Meidi Kulsum Copyright (c) 2025 Eva Meidi Kulsum https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2064 Tue, 14 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Transformation of Village Entrepreneurship: Financial Literacy as a Driver of Economic Independence for Borrowers of BUMDesa Bersama in Serang Regency https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2034
The aim of this community service (PKM) initiative is to facilitate the improvement of financial literacy among debtors of BUMDesma LKD across Serang Regency. The execution of this PKM activity was conducted in three phases: Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation to attain best outcomes. During the planning phase, the team formulated the PKM activity idea, which consists of three primary steps: assessing the financial management attributes of the borrowers, delivering financial management training to the debtors, and offering post-training mentorship. In the implementation phase, debtor characteristics were discerned through observations and interviews of 22 debtors from 18 BUMDesma LKD throughout 17 sub-districts in Serang Regency. The second stage entailed administering financial management instruction for the debtors utilizing a practical financial management methodology known as "GoDisKo." The concluding phase of the implementation emphasized post-training mentorship. The evaluation, as the last activity, demonstrated that the beginning phase substantially facilitated the following training phase, allowing for successful and efficient training execution. Nevertheless, the mentoring phase was suboptimal owing to the inherent preferences of the debtors, who exhibited a diminished propensity to engage with online media for mentoring purposes.
Taufik Raharjo, Maman Suhendra, Ambang Aries Yudanto, Tanda Setiya, Erny Arianty Copyright (c) 2025 Taufik Raharjo, Maman Suhendra, Ambang Aries Yudanto, Tanda Setiya, Erny Arianty https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2034 Tue, 14 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Bridging Youth to Global Education: Workshop on IELTS Awareness and Preparation at SMAN Jatinangor https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2080
Many high school students in suburban areas lack awareness of international English proficiency tests like IELTS, limiting their access to global education opportunities. To address this, a one-day interactive workshop was held at SMAN Jatinangor using the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach. The program introduced students to IELTS structure, objectives, and test strategies through engaging, student-centered activities. Pre- and post-surveys assessed the impact, with results showing a significant improvement: the percentage of students in the high awareness category increased from 0% to 70%, while the low category was completely eliminated. This demonstrates the effectiveness of targeted educational interventions in bridging global readiness gaps.
Revi Nur Ridwan Copyright (c) 2025 Revi Nur Ridwan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.irpi.or.id/index.php/consen/article/view/2080 Sat, 28 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000
