Abstract

Indonesia's susceptibility to floods is attributed to its geographical factors and tropical climate, resulting in significant negative societalimpacts. Among the vulnerable groups, elementary school students require special attention during flood situations. Challenges include limited knowledge of flood risks, inadequate understanding of appropriate emergency responses, and difficulties accessing resources or safely evacuating. SDN Mampang 3 Kota Depok, located at a lower elevation than its surrounding environment, is prone to flooding. Theschool currently lacks a disaster preparedness plan, and the students are unaware of the proper evacuation procedures during floods. The purpose of this program is to enhance the flood knowledge and evacuation skills of students through the provision of flood preparedness materials and evacuation exercises. The activity involves assessing needs, preparing materials, delivering content, conducting evacuation drills, and evaluating outcomes. Following the distribution of materials and evacuation exercises, 85% of students demonstrated good knowledge, while 98% displayed competent evacuation skills. Education and training on flood preparedness and evacuation can improve the knowledge and skills of students. Collaboration with higher education institutions in providing materials and training related to disaster preparedness is one approach to enhance student preparedness in facing disasters.
