Design and Development of a Web-Based Sales Information System for DuabelasShop Bengkulu

DuabelasShop Bengkulu is a retail business engaged in selling various daily consumer products in Bengkulu City. In its operational activities, the store still relies on a manual sales recording system using notebooks and simple worksheets, which frequently causes difficulties in monitoring stock availability in real time, discrepancies between physical inventory and recorded data, delays in generating sales reports, and a high risk of data loss due to human error. This study aims to design and develop a web-based sales information system capable of supporting accurate and real-time sales data recording at DuabelasShop Bengkulu. The system was developed using the Agile method, which emphasizes collaboration, flexibility, and incremental product delivery through short development cycles (iterations), consisting of the Plan, Design, Launch, Develop, Test, Deploy, and Review stages. The system was built using the PHP programming language and a MySQL database, and was tested using the Black Box Testing method. The results show that the developed system is able to facilitate online product sales, allowing the business to reach a wider customer base without being limited by location or time, while also improving the efficiency of managing product data, transactions, and sales reports. All 19 Black Box Testing scenarios on the system's main functions were declared successful, indicating that the system is feasible for use at DuabelasShop Bengkulu.
