Environmental security is an essential aspect of creating a safe and comfortable community environment. The primary problem identified in RT 03 RW 12 Cidodol, Grogol Selatan, South Jakarta, was the absence of a technology-based surveillance system and the community's limited technical knowledge regarding CCTV installation and maintenance. This Community Service activity aimed to implement a CCTV surveillance system while enhancing the community's technical skills in operating and maintaining the equipment. The implementation method comprised site surveys, theoretical and practical training, hardware installation, technical testing, and quantitative impact evaluation. The implemented setup included 4 outdoor camera units, an 8-channel DVR, a 12 V DC Power Supply Box, Siamese cables with a maximum length of 80 meters, and MCB protection. Technical testing results demonstrated that all cameras operated stably within a voltage range of 11.65–12.08 V DC, with the highest voltage drop recorded at 3.72% over the 80-meter cable line. Competency evaluation via pre-test and post-test involving 10 participants showed an average understanding increase of 75%. Furthermore, public perception of environmental safety post-installation improved from 2.40 to 4.35 (on a 1–5 scale). This initiative successfully fostered the independence of neighborhood officers in managing surveillance infrastructure sustainably.
