Penggunaan dan perkembangan teknologi nirkabel sekarang sudah sangat maju dan luas. Salah satu contohnya adalah VANET (Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network), yang merupakan teknologi nirkabel yang dipasang di dalam kendaraan sehingga kendaraan dapat berkomunikasi satu sama lain (V2V) atau dengan infrastruktur (V2I). Tantangan dalam VANET yang muncul akibat pergerakan dan kecepatan tinggi kendaraan dapat diatasi dengan menggunakan protokol routing. Namun, karena ada banyak jenis protokol routing jaringan nirkabel, diperlukan uji kinerja untuk menentukan protokol routing terbaik yang akan diimplementasikan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengujian protokol routing GSR (Geographic Source Routing). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah simulasi dan menggunakan perangkat lunak pendukung seperti Openstreetmap, SUMO, dan OMNET++. Evaluasi kinerja protokol routing mencakup parameter Quality of Service (QOS) seperti throughput, end-to-end delay, dan packet ratio. Studi ini melibatkan berbagai skenario yang mencakup perubahan jumlah kendaraan, kecepatan kendaraan, dan keberadaan Road Side Unit (RSU).
